With a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto and an MBA from York’s Schulich School of Business, Mahyar is also a designated Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Accountant. Prior to joining Sobel & Company LLP in 2008, Mahyar worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP for 8 years in various tax groups (expatriate, financial services, mergers and acquisitions) and also corporate finance. Now President of Sobel & Company, Professional Corporation, he oversees a client list that includes construction, real estate development, professional services and manufacturing, wholesale and technology companies. Mahyar has his pilot’s license and enjoys flying around southern Ontario, spending time outdoors with his family and summer barbeques.

Frank has over forty years experience in accounting, taxation and estates. A Certified General Accountant and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, Frank has been with the firm since 1973. He enjoys assisting Sobel’s varied client base and, in particular, manages many of the long-term client relationships, providing accounting services to small and medium sized businesses in construction, manufacturing, sales, services and professionals. Frank is an avid photographer and enjoys spending time with his family, and various outdoor activities.

Kathy graduated from the Legal Assistant program at Centennial College and joined Sobel & Company in 1999. Over the years she has been the firm's administrative cornerstone, and often the first point of reference to clients. She enjoys working amongst a dedicated team of knowledgeable staff who are always available to provide assistance, guidance or suggestions to their client's tax issues and concerns.  In her free time Kathy enjoys reading, travelling and participating in outdoor summer activities with her children.
